Mildred is the committed and devoted wife of Charles Tyree Grayson; the mother of Antonyanella (Toni) Sherese Vanwinkle and the grandmother of Christopher Jacob Vanwinkle.
Milldred is reputed for both her academic achievement and spiritual giftedness which is displayed in her written works and organizational skills. She holds credentials in both Business and Journalism with emphasis in Public Relations. God has graced her with a nurturing and compassionate nature which enhances her ability to provoke others to good works. She has been a consistent, persistent, accessible, and resourceful member of

In District #3 of Washinton Jurisdiction of Church of God in Christ, she works as a helper to District Missionary Nettie Dillard which includes Seminar Presenter and Newsletter Editor. She served in the jurisdiction as Public Relations/Journalist under the leadership of State Prelate, Bishop T.L. Westbrook and State Supervisor, Mother Gertrude Young. She currently serves as Public Relations Chair of Washington Jurisdiction under Bishop Leo C. Brown, Jr.
In the secular world she worked as a Senior Technical Writer for the Boeing Airplane Company before taking early retirement in 2000.
Mildred now works as a contracting Tech Writer Volt Technical Services with assignment to numerous corporations within the Puget Sound corridor. She held other positions in Journalism including editor and reporter for Tacoma Facts in the early 80s as well as The Tacoma True Citizen Newspaper and occasional freelancer to Tacoma News Tribune.
She is the author of four books: "Spontaneous Thoughts”, "Tried Convicted and Set Free", "From A Prayer Warrior's Closet", Publisher and Compiler of "The Journey: How To Keep Going When You Can't See The Road" and "Stumbling Blocks Can Become Stepping Stones," and "HISTORY...God's Man Working God's Plan".
Mildred founded Poetic Rainbows in 1993, a community outreach ministry that provides a platform for creative expression as an alternative response to violence and recent founder of "Daughters of Destiny" Tacoma Section of NCNW. 2012.
